Population in Somalia at large are experiencing a severe and devastating drought that will claim many more lives and livelihoods if no interventions are put in place to mitigate its impact specially both Juba and Gedo regions since the regions are exit to Kenya.Thousands Somalia refugees are fleeing into already overcrowded camps in neighboring Kenya through juba and Gedo regions facing over crowded, food insecurity Some camps are reporting that 50% or more of incoming refugees, including 35% of the children entering some camps, are acutely malnourished. The regions has also suffered recurrent conflict and is hosting large number of IDPs from Mogadishu Bay, Bakol and Gedo regions hoping to cross to refugee’ camps in Kenya hoping for a better life as situation worsens.
